でもまだお正月っぽい イベントが残っています
1月10日に福男選びがあります
これはね面白いイベントですよ
福男福はLucky Happyの意味です
男はManの意味です
今年ラッキーでハッピーな男の人を決めるイベントです
どうやって決めますか？これはね 100人ぐらいの大人大の大人が神社を全力で走ります
レースですね レース 神社の入り口 ゲートから 本堂 それは神様がいる場所
神社の中まで230メートルを全力で走ります
そして一番になったらその人は福男
今年ハッピーでラッキーな男になれます
あ でも名前は福男選びなんですけど 実際は女性も参加できます 女の人も参加できます
一番だけじゃなくて 二番と三番の人も福男です
レースの様子は毎年テレビで 見ることができます
このイベントは 兵庫県の西宮神社で行われます
兵庫県 私も兵庫県出身なので このイベントのニュースを 毎年テレビで見ていました
すごく面白いですよ 大人がね 大の大人が本気で走ってるのは面白いですね
プロじゃない素人の男性たちが朝6時に
まだ外は暗いですね 暗い中、朝6時に全力で神社を走っているのは面白いです
しかも100人ぐらいいるので迫力があります そしてすごく速いです そして時々危ないです
誰か一人が転んだら後ろの人もどんどん転んでしまいます
転んじゃいます だから、うん。危ない部分もあります
ちなみに今年は えっとね 2025年は高校二年生 17歳の男の子が一番 福男になりました
この男性は陸上部みたいですね それは毎日走る部活です さすがですね
こんな感じで 毎年スポーツをよくしてる人が 一番二番三番になります
でもね速いだけじゃだめです もう一つ必要なものがあります それは運です luckです
このイベントは結構人気です
だからたくさんの人が参加したいです 毎年1月10日の6時にレースが始まります
そして1月9日 （レースの）1日前に抽選があります 抽選はlotteryみたいなものです
レースに参加したい人は 1月9日に神社に行きます そして早い人から順番に 抽選に参加できます
神社に来るのが早かった1500人の人が 抽選に参加できます そしてその中から108人が選ばれます レースの前の方のグループに選ばれます
さらにねその中で一番前の列 二番目の列になるためには 本当に運が良くないといけません
だからゲートのね 門のできれば一番前を取って しかも走るのが本当に速くないと いけません 面白いレースです
このイベントは中学生から参加できます つまり12歳13歳以上だったら参加できます
小学生はダメです 小学生より若い人はダメです
ちなみに女性が一番になったら 福男じゃなくて福女と呼ばれます でも残念ながら今まで一度も女性の福女はいないそうです
このレースはちゃんと始まったのは1940年です 公式に始まったのは1940年です でも元々は江戸時代ぐらいから 自然に始まったと言われています
江戸時代 それは今から400年前ぐらいから 200年前ぐらいまでの時代です
このイベントは毎年1月10日に行われます 戦争の時とかコロナの時はありませんでした でも基本的に毎年あります

grown adults, run through a shrine at full speed.

they run 230 meters through the shrine at full speed.

the second and third place finishers also become Fuku-otoko.

Nishinomiya Shrine in Hyogo Prefecture.

so I used to watch this event's news
on TV every year.

when it's still dark outside,
running at full speed through the shrine in the darkness - it's fascinating.
Plus, with about 100 people, it's quite powerful.
And they run really fast.
And sometimes it's dangerous.
If one person trips,
the people behind them keep falling too.
They fall down.
So, yeah, there are some dangerous aspects.
By the way, this year,
let's see... in 2025, a second-year high school student,
a 17-year-old boy became the first place Fuku-otoko.
This young man seems to be in the track and field club,
which is a club where you run every day.

get first, second, and third place.
But being fast isn't enough.

This event is quite popular,

Every year, the race starts at 6 AM on January 10th.

go to the shrine on January 9th,

The first 1,500 people who arrive at the shrine
can enter the lottery.
