How to Use
「〜をはじめ(として)」は、複数の例や項目を挙げる際に、最初に代表的な例を示し、他にも同様の例があることを表現します。「〜など」よりもフォーマルな表現で、特にビジネス文書や学術的な文章でよく使用されます。「として」を付けても付けなくても意味は変わりませんが、「として」を付けるとよりフォーマルになります。
"~wo hajime (toshite)" is used when listing multiple examples or items, introducing a representative example first and indicating that there are other similar examples. It's more formal than "~nado" and is commonly used in business documents and academic writing. Adding "toshite" makes it even more formal without changing the meaning.
