How to Use

「がたい」は、主に感情的な理由で、何かを受け入れたり、理解したり、信じたりすることが極めて難しい状態を表現します。「にくい」は一般的な困難さを表すのに対して、「がたい」は単なる物理的な困難さではなく、感情などの人間的な要素が障壁となっている場合によく使われます。

"Gatai" expresses that something is extremely difficult to accept, understand, or believe, primarily due to emotional reasons. While “nikui” expresses general difficulty, “gatai” is often used when human elements such as emotions, rather than mere physical difficulty, are the obstacle.
